M & M Workwear Series : Pants

Merchant & Mills patterns and fabric are a staple at Patch, and when they released their Workwear book earlier this year, we knew we had to teach the patterns from it. Workwear includes 4 garment patterns In genderless sizing from XS-XXXL which are meant illustrate the eternal relevance and versatility of traditional workwear shapes and detailing. These simple everyday garments are clothes not fashion, living outside the fast and careless, trend-led landscape. In order to truly embrace the idea of a capsule wardrobe, we have decided to teach these patterns as a series for intermediate – advanced sewists who want to make staples that they will wear now and forever. Students must purchase the book but needn’t commit to all of the classes as we roll them out over the next few months on Sunday mornings. We will be starting with the pants – a simple pair of genderless trousers with a drawstring and fly which you will wear and make over and over again. The pattern has optional welt pockets which students can do as homework with support from the instructor.

Registration for this class includes a complimentary invite to our evening discussion on how to build a capsule wardrobe.

Priority Registration will be given to students taking the Workwear Classes as an ongoing series.

Workshop includes : Three 3 hour instruction session. Workwear book and supplies extra. Full supply list given at time of registration. Printing of patterns is an optional add on and do not need to be traced from the book – each pattern has a QR code for large scale printing
