The Georgia Tee, Dress or Midi
Tuesdays March 12 & 19
This is the perfect wardrobe staple and the perfect intro to sewing woven garments from a commercial pattern. A basic, boxy tee that has a modern, utilitarian feeling while still remaining soft and fluid. This style that can be used a base pattern for endless variations – so you won’t make just one! Make this style in various weight fabrics for year-round wear. Perfectly scooped neckline hits right at the collarbone and doesn’t show bra straps. Substantial cuffs give weight and luxury to the piece but are very straightforward to construct. With a high low hem, it is endlessly flattering. Plus this workshop is great for a variety of skill levels. If you have never sewn a garment before, stick to the tee in a woven cotton or linen blend. If you have made a few things and want to give yourself a challenge with the guidance of an instructor, try the dress or a slightly more challenging fabric.
Workshop includes: Two 3 hour instruction sessions. Pattern and supplies extra. Full supply list given at time of registration.
